Back in when I was a teenager there was no emailing, texting, or IMing.   When you wanted to get in touch with your friends you had to CALL them on the PHONE!  I read this interesting article in the New York Times about how it’s almost rude to call someone on the phone these days– you’re assuming they can drop everything they’re doing and suddenly pick up your call.  What do you think?   Do you still make phone calls?  Choose one of the following activities to post on your blog:

1) Make a comic using ToonDoo about how we will communicate with our friends in the FUTURE.

2) Write a “goodbye telephone” poem or if you still make phone calls, write a poem called “Hello to phone calls”.

3)  Using colored pencils and paper or Photoshop draw what a communication device will look like in the future.  Make sure to label each part.
